Guarnaschelli was born to Maria Guarnaschelli and John Guarnaschelli. Guarnaschelli was a graduate of Barnard College in 1991 with an education in art history. In one time, she earned a minimum pay at an American Place in 1991. Guarnaschelli's culinary experience started while watching her mother test numerous recipes in her kitchen while editing cookbooks. Guarnaschelli worked with Larry Forgione (whose son is Iron Chef Marc Forgione), and later at various eateries in France, New York and Los Angeles, including Guy Savoy's La Butte Chaillot. Prior to joining Butter as its executive chef, Guarnaschelli was employed for Daniel Boulud at his eponymous restaurant. Prior to its closing, she served as the executive chef at The Darby. The Museum of Food and Drink's Culinary Council. Guarnaschelli's debut cookbook was published. "Old School Comfort Food: How I Learned how to cook" combines autobiographical details as well as her most loved recipes from works she's altered for home. Jamie Jamie Jamie
