Ana Maria Cristina Polo Gonzalez was born in Havana Cuba. The family moved to Miami after she reached 2 years old. Ana was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. She moved to Miami with her family at age 2 after moving from Havana. Ana Maria Polo from Habana is the host and producer for Telemundo's "Caso Cerrado", one of the most well-loved Spanish-language programming on the network. The show was nominated for an Emmy for Daytime Entertainment Emmy for Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards in 2015. In 2015 it ranked among the top performers for all the key demos. Polo was born in Havana in 1959. Following her graduation the Florida International University's Political science program, she relocated to Havana where she stayed for the next 20 years. She then earned a PhD in law from the University of Miami, and was a lawyer for over 20 years in Miami. After obtaining her PhD at the University of Miami she practiced law in Miami for over 20 years. Polo first made her appearance on TV in 2001 on Telemundo's Sala de Parejas. She took part in court shows that tapped into her knowledge. Literature: Accolades and Literary Works In 1958, Polo published her novel Los Hijos Muertos. It was awarded the Critic's Award for Literature, as well as the Spanish National Prize for Literature. Ana Maria Matute left Spain in 1960 to go to an adventure in the United States in 1960. Polo also diagnosed with breast cancer and cancer survivor, is often quoted about the cause she is fighting. She has been an activist for LGBT rights all of her life. She is a 1987 graduate of The University of Miami School of Law and is a Florida Bar member.
